Lo show del Water Polo By The Sea

Grandi giocatori, buona musica, sponsor di prestigio, tanti spettatori e una location mozzafiato: sono questi gli ingredienti vincenti di Water Polo By The Sea, match-esibizione che si tiene dal 2011 a Sydney, in Australia, e che può essere a buon ragione considerato un ottimo esempio di come la pallanuoto possa risultare spettacolare.

Organizzato dall’ex Savona Thomas Whalan, il WPBTS vede la Nazionale australiana sfidare un All Stars Team composto da alcuni dei migliori giocatori al mondo: all’edizione 2015, conclusasi poche ore fa, hanno partecipato, tra gli altri, Aleksandar Ivovic, Filip Filipovic, Albert Español, Theodoros Chatzitheodorou e il nostro Fabrizio Buonocore.

Meravigliosa la piscina del Bondi Iceberg Club, a picco sul mare di Bondi Beach, una delle spiagge più belle e famose d’Australia, e numerosa l’affluenza degli spettatori, più di mille, attratti anche dalla musica e dall’atmosfera rilassata che accompagna l’evento.

Quanto alla partita, l’All Stars Team si è aggiudicato per la prima volta la vittoria, battendo gli Aussie Sharks per 12-10 con 6 reti di Filipovic, l’uomo partita.

The great show of Water Polo By The Sea

Great players, good music, eminent sponsors, crowded audience and a breathtaking venue: these are the successful ingredients of Water Polo By The Sea, exhibition-match held since 2011 in Sydney, Australia, and which can be considered a great example of spectacular water polo event.

At WPBTS, organized by former Australian National player Thomas Whalan, Aussie Sharks face an International All Stars Team of some of the best players in the world: in 2015 edition Aleksandar Ivovic (Montenegro), Filip Filipovic (Serbia), AlbertEspañol (Spain), Theodoros Chatzitheodorou (Greece) and Fabrizio Buonocore(Italy), among the others, have played in the wonderful Bondi Icebergs Club’s pool.

The venue overlooks the sea at Bondi Beach, one of the most famous Australian beaches, and was crowded by a thousand people, attracted also by the music and atmosphere of the event.

As for the game, the All Stars Team won for the first time at WPBTS, beating Aussie Sharks 12-10. Filipovic, man of the match, scored 6 goals.
