The new season of the water polo Champions League is around the corner, in just two days the first round of the preliminaries kicks off. It’s time for all water polo fans to tune in and get the latest information on all matches in real time – thanks to a new website and a mobile application.
From Day 1 all games can be followed live through LEN’s live scoring page which can be reached through the LEN website (www.len.eu) – just click on the words ‘Live results’ on the opening page.
Also, anyone who enters the LEN website on a smartphone or tablet and follow the same route, after clicking the word ‘Live results’ he/she can find the Apple or Android logo on the top left and through those the new mobile applications can be downloaded to the devices in hand.
This page offers live scoring of each match and will also feature the team roasters and the latest news – and now all these are accessible from smartphones and tablets as well.
“LEN has decided to lift the water polo Champions League to a new level in terms of promotion and communication” LEN President Paolo Barelli said. “This competition features the very best teams and players of the world, it was time to present it in a new frame, which is modern and based on the latest IT technologies.”
The President thinks that the promotion of water polo should enter in a new phase. “While the matches are thrilling and the race for the Final Six cannot be any sharper, we all know that the competition on the sport market is just as fierce as the games in the pools. If we want to keep up with the others, to maximize the promotion for water polo and to engage more and more fans, we have to up-to-date. These new initiatives are just the first steps but we believe we set a fine example for the water polo community and all participants will do their utmost to earn further recognition to this great sport and to the Champions League which is the greatest club competition” Paolo Barelli considered.
